The Cancer Society's annual Relay for Life steps out again at Cooks Gardens, starting at 11.30 and runs for 24 hours. The society netted $89,000 last year. Let's see if we can push that out to six figures.

Summer continues to soldier on this weekend. We have a high of 22 degrees predicted for Saturday, with 24 degrees the high for Sunday. Council to Consider Dog Petition at Next Meeting

Mayor Annette Main today said that the Wanganui District Council’s policy on euthanising dogs will be discussed at the next Council meeting on March 10.
