Every weekend, local crafts, produce and food are available at two vibrant markets.

The Whanganui River Traders

Every Saturday from 9.00am - 1.00pm, approximately 100 traders set up stalls alongside the downtown reaches of the Whanganui River.  The Whanganui River Traders offers locals and visitors alike an eclectic range of artists, crafts people, food producers, plant growers and general wares.  Something new and imaginative each week.

Join us for coffee and a truly Whanganui experience at Moutoa Quay, on the riverbank along from the PS Waimarie.

Avoca Hotel Market

Every Sunday from 12.00pm - 4.00pm. Great stalls, and Hangi food speciality (limited meals) held at Avoca Hotel, Upokongaro Village, Whanganui.
